Cosmic AES is looking for RF Systems Engineers to support the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Space Superiority Systems Directorate (SY). SMC/SY equips the joint warfighter with space control systems to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority. The directorate executes cradle to grave responsibility for weapon system development, fielding, and sustainment. The candidate will support the Space Test and Training Range (STTR) program. The STTR ensures safe and secure operations and provides its customers with realistic space environment to support test, training, and exercise activities. As such, this position will required a working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) SATCOM systems to include commercial and military SATCOM. The position will involve supporting the development of enterprise architecture requirements for the Space Control mission area.
Apply RF/systems engineering technical and technical management processes within the System Program Office (SPO) environment.
Organize, analyze, conduct, and/or monitor/oversee development contractor RF engineering activities relating to the design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, sustainment, and/or analysis of SPO systems and/or components.
Review and provide RF System Engineering input to design documentation (TRDs, Specifications, interface control documents, drawings), and requirement documents (ICDs, CDDs, CPDs), ECPs, PWSs.
Review and provide RF System Engineering input to enabling concepts, concept of operations, and ensuring supportability requirements are addressed and part of upfront planning for systems.
Required Qualifications :
US citizen with current TS and eligible to obtain SCI
Understanding of RF SATCOM as it applies to the Space Control Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
Understanding of digital signal processing hardware/ software
Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
Experience creating and leading Integrated Product Teams
Experience analyzing the technical content of development contractor proposals and Statements of Work
Experience in developing requirements and specifications
Familiar with space acquisition concepts, phases, and procedures
Past participation in technical studies and performance reviews
A team player that is a self-starter and capable of working in a fast-pasted environment
Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering
DAU SPRDE Level 2
Familiarity with HQ AFSPACECOM and 21st Space Wing Operations
Familiarity with USAF Space Test and Training Range Operations
